Baba Faqira Dass Ji

The Udasi Sect is an ascetic group, descent from Sri Chand ji, eldest son of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. They followed the path of renunciation (udasi). BHAI ALMAST, (1553-1643), was one of the head of a branch of the Udasi Sect which came to be known as ‘Almast Dhuna’. Baba Faqira Dass Ji was one of the prominent “Tapasvi” of the Almast Dhuna of Udasi Sect.

Few years back, Jasjot Singh ‘Almast’, experienced a strong spiritual calling. On deeper probing into his sub-conscious mind, he was led to the Kuti Saheb of Baba Faqira Dass ji at Gharachon, Bhawanigarh, Sangrur. There he found answers to many questions of his life. The blessings of Baba Faqira Dass ji changed his life forever.

Hazrat Syedna Khwaja Baba Fakhruddin Saheb Ji(R.A.)

Hazart Khwaja Syed Sha Baba Fakhruddin Suharwardy (Rahmatullah Allaih) is a great Sufi saint of 12th century.

He was a great king. He abdicated the throne of Sistan and Shahpur of then Persia and present day Iran, in the path of Allah, and travelled through Persia, Kashmir, Gujrat in pursuit of Pir-o-Murshid (Spiritual Guide) and reached Tiruchirapalli (Tamilnadu) and took bayat [Spiritual allegiance] on the hands of Qalandar Barhaq Hazrath Tabl-e-Aalam Baadshah Nathar Vali Dhaul Samandar (QS), who himself was a king and had renounced world too for the Almighty’s cause. After serving His Master for several years, he received khilafat and on Pir-o-Murshid Nathar Auliya’s command started his journey towards unknown location where the Miswak Twig would bloom into a plant, and blessed the current day dargah by making it his final resting place.

His mausoleum is located at Penukonda, which is in Anantapur District, Andhra Pradesh, India.

Dargah of Qutub ul Aaqtaab Hazarat Baba Fakhruddin Saheb Ji (R.A) is the chief presidency [Sadar Chowk] of South India and abode of chowks [offices] of different orders of Fakirs [ Rafai, Shah Jalali, Madari, Malang and Banawa].

In 2011, Jasjot Singh ‘Almast’ experienced a second spiritual calling. He had a vision  which led him to the dargah of Baba Fakhruddin Saheb ji at Penukonda, Andhra Pradesh. On reaching the dargah, he felt, without doubt, that his search had finally brought him to the abode he had dreamt of. He left Penukonda with the greatest blessings of his life and a message which he needed to spread in the world.

We are all born on this Earth to accomplish certain goals and fulfil certain greater good. After the blessings of Baba Fakhruddin Saheb Ji, the true purpose of his life – ‘Selfless service’ became crystal clear to Jasjot Singh ‘Almast’.
